Perfect substitute for plastic sandwich bags!
This is my third order as I am thrilled with their sturdy sandwich sized compostable bags. They last through handwashing them and are quick to dry, making them suitable and stable for reuse, unlike plastic bags, which can breakdown into tiny plastic pieces. I can use them as bags for foods that I am freezing, as I use large sized freezer bags to store the individual compostable bags of food, preventing freezer burn. And preventing plastic contamination of the foods I’m freezing. As we grow a large vegetable garden of organic produce, we successfully put up a lot of bags of fruits and veggies in our freezers each year for eating year ‘round. When the HoldOn bags do become less sturdy, they can be added to our compost (cutting off the zip fastener as they recommend).
